Connect with our Research Connections Series: Scan-to BIM
Learn about Assistive Scan to Building Information Modeling
In this installment of our Research Connections Speaker Series, Weilian Song, a PhD student at Simon Fraser University, shared his research on A-Scan2BIM: Assistive Scan to Building Information Modeling. Song introduced an assistive system that simplifies the Scan-to-BIM process for architects, converting a large-scale point cloud into a standardized digital representation of a building for Building Information Modeling (BIM) applications.
Check it out to learn about Song’s research, which focuses on helping architects on the Scan-to-BIM process, instead of replacing them. This talk highlights the relationships being built across Autodesk’s teams and the innovative work happening in the industries they serve.
