Learning from and Inspiring Women at Girl Geek X

Dr. Tonya Custis, Director of AI Research at Autodesk, recently discussed how her background in roller derby shaped and informed her management and strategy skills. Earlier this month, Tonya presented at Girl Geek X ELEVATE Conference, held on March 8, International Women’s Day. Tonya spoke to ELEVATE attendees about leadership, AI powered design, and failure during her talk, Designing AI for Designers.

With a goal of connecting and inspiring women in tech, Girl Geek X was founded by two technologist friends in 2008. It began with small meetups, eventually evolving into an annual career fair and global virtual conference with more than 2500 registrants from across multiple disciplines.
