Biography

Alasdair Bulloch is a Research Engineer in the Manufacturing Industry Futures team at Autodesk Research. He is a mechanical engineer with a background in the offshore energy (primarily offshore wind) sector, and a passion for furthering the adoption of additive manufacturing technologies in industry.

Alasdair is currently pursuing an engineering doctorate at the University of Nottingham on the design, characterization and testing of multi-material additive manufactured (laser powder bed fusion) metal structures. Other areas of research interest include sustainable manufacturing, hydrogen/gravity-based energy storage, and tidal turbine technology.
