Biography
Daniele Grandi is a Principal Research Scientist at Autodesk Research. In the Industry Futures team, Daniele works at the intersection of AI/ML and mechanical engineering, through strategic engagements with academic labs. He is interested in finding ways to capture design knowledge, understand design intent, and support design exploration from CAD data by leveraging machine learning methods.
Daniele has a background in Data Science, Mechanical Engineering, and generative design methods, and his previous work includes an engineering consulting role for a metal additive manufacturing (AM) startup, focusing on design, simulation, and optimization of mechanical assemblies.
