Biography

Fikret Kalay is a Senior Research Manager at Autodesk Research, where he leads a dedicated team of research engineers and scientists focused on digital construction. His team’s work is at the forefront of enhancing construction intelligence by encoding workflows, spanning from the pre-construction phase to building handover, and includes convergence of manufacturing and architecture, engineering, construction, and operations (AECO).

Recent advancements in construction technology such as digital twins and AI enable the development of novel workflows that allow for seamless data integration and processes across all phases of the construction project lifecycle. This technology empowers stakeholders to make real-time, informed decisions — driving efficiency and setting new standards for the future of construction.

Fikret holds a Master of Science in Simulation and has a background in manufacturing. He combines his technical expertise with a passion for coding and construction and enjoys drawing houses in his spare time. Fikret joined Autodesk in 2016.
