Biography

Scott Sheppard is a Program Manager on the Strategic Foresight team for Autodesk Research and has been an Autodesk employee (on and off) since 1993. He has a master’s degree in Software Engineering from Arizona State University. Scott has worked on products like AutoCAD and Autodesk Design Review. He was the face of Autodesk Labs when that program was active, and when blogging was in its heyday, perfecting his writing skills while authoring articles for It’s Alive in the Lab.

Now on the Strategic Foresight team, he and his team apply foresight techniques to help Autodesk form its strategies, bring in visiting fellows who share their perspectives to help Autodesk identify any blind spots, and create scenarios that provide a vision of how Autodesk customers might work in the future.
