Biography

Tianyu Zhang is a research scientist at the Autodesk AI Lab, where he specializes in applying machine learning techniques to optimize decision-making and control processes. His primary focus is on graph-structured data and developing scalable algorithms for deep reinforcement learning. Tianyu received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Alberta, where he focused on extending the capabilities of multi-agent reinforcement learning by improving model simplicity, scalability, and robustness through novel approaches in transfer learning and by promoting diversity in model training.

Tianyu is passionate about using his expertise to enhance Autodesk products, making design tools more intuitive and efficient. His vision is to integrate advanced AI methods into everyday engineering applications to enable more creative and effective design solutions.
