Biography
Adam Gaier is a research scientist at the Autodesk AI Lab where he pursues research at the intersection of evolutionary and machine learning. He received master’s degrees in evolutionary computing and robotics, and a PhD focused on tackling expensive design problems through the fusion of machine learning, quality diversity, and neuro-evolution approaches. His work has received recognition at top venues across these fields, including: a spotlight talk at NeurIPS (machine learning), multiple best paper awards at GECCO (evolutionary computation), and best student paper at AIAA (aerodynamics design optimization).
